RT 17 Sensing unit For Non-Conductive materials |
| |
Sensing units of this type are used for indication of Non-Conductive materials such as: grains, powders, oils, glues and plastic raw materials.
For edible materials a separate feeler made of Teflon and stainless steel is used. The stainless feeler may be without any cover or fully covered by PTFE (Teflon).
For Conductive and Non-Conductive liquids, powders and grains, that require a full isolation from the feeler, Tag offers an addition of a separate feeler that is fully covered with Teflon or with any other material upon request.
All the sensing units can be fully covered by the materials they are working with (for example powder, grain, oil etc.). Piling up or sticking of the material around the feeler will not disturb or alter its normal function (of the sensing unit).
The distance between the Control Box and the sensing unit can be any desired one (almost unlimited) |

|
| |
RT 17 is used with non-conductive materials (such as the bellow-listed). It can be used and with all types of materials when the feeler has to be fully covered with PTFE. |

MC - Control boxes |
| |
The control boxes are manufactured for the entire range of feelers. All the Control Boxes have one relay with floated contact.
The control boxes are mounted in 3 mounting methods:
1. Remote system in din rail box for internal mounting.
2. Remote system in P.C. box for external mounting (IP67). The distance between the remote control box and sensing unit can be almost unlimited.
3. Combined system in P.C. box on the top of the sensing unit (IP67).

MC1 – The standard Control Box to control one sensing unit.
Way of operation: when the material touches the feeler, the contact is closed. As contact breaks off the relay is opened.
MC2 –The standard Control Box - To control a minimum/maximum system
(a control between two level switches). This system controls two sensing units.
Way of operation: when there is a contact of a material on the lower feeler, the
relay is closed and is opened when the materials makes a contact with the upper feeler.
